Sure. 1) Cover the exposed end of the underwire with a little bead of hot glue, to "pad" the pokey end of the wire, and let the glue cool. (I don't do this part, but maybe it's a good idea?) 2) Shove the underwire as far as you can back inside of its casing. 3) Take a piece of ribbon or bias tape. Fold it over three times. 4) Pin the ribbon in place so it covers the hole in the casing, but (hopefully) doesn't protrude to show from the front of the bra. 5) Sew the tripled piece of ribbon/bias tape over the hole in the casing. She says to whipstitch all around the edge, but I say use whatever hand-sewing stitch you want!
