I made my FIL and youngest BIL a pillowcase for Christmas.
It isn't a big project, nor impressive I know. However, I'm a first-timer with no family background, so I'm still proud of myself. I used what the 'burrito' method, as my sewing teacher called it, though I've also seen it referred to online as 'hotdog'.
That is my little $100 sewing machine that I'm practicing on until I'm ready to get a better machine.
...for real, I just moved this month and am trying to *find* the sewing materials in unopened boxes and bags and a place to put them, and then I have fantasies of making everything in the world...I'll let you know!
Pillowcases!
